High Sleeper Beds with Wardrobes: The All-in-One Bedroom Solution

Reimagine your floor plan with a High Sleeper Loft Bed with Wardrobes. In many British homes, the struggle to fit a full-sized bed alongside a standalone wardrobe can make a bedroom feel cramped. Our collection merges these two essential pieces of furniture into a single vertical unit. By utilising the 'dead space' beneath the mattress, we provide a complete dressing area without occupying a single extra inch of floor space—perfect for compact box rooms and fashion-conscious teens

Maximise every square inch of your child’s bedroom with a high sleeper loft bed with a wardrobe. In many UK homes, floor space is at a premium, and finding room for both a bed and a full-sized wardrobe can be a challenge. Our wardrobe loft beds solve this by moving the storage directly beneath the sleeping area, effectively doubling your usable floor space in an instant.

Perfect for growing children and fashion-conscious teenagers, these beds provide a dedicated place for everything from school uniforms and coats to shoes and hobby gear, all contained within the footprint of a single bed.

Why Choose a High Sleeper Bed with Wardrobes?

  • Total Room Transformation: By consolidating two of the largest pieces of furniture (the bed and the wardrobe) into one vertical unit, you open up the rest of the room for a desk, a gaming area, or simply more space to move.
  • Encourages Independence: Having their own "walk-in" style wardrobe encourages older children and teens to take pride in their space and manage their own organisation.
  • Clutter-Free Living: Hide away the chaos. With integrated hanging rails and shelving, you can keep clothes and belongings out of sight, creating a calm, tidy environment for rest.
  • Premium UK Craftsmanship: Our collection features robust wooden and metal frames designed to handle the weight of a full wardrobe while remaining stylish and secure.

Buying Guide: Finding the Perfect High Sleeper Beds with Wardrobes

Check the Door Clearance

When measuring your room, don’t just look at the bed’s footprint. Consider the outward swing of the wardrobe doors. Ensure there is enough space to open the doors fully without hitting a radiator, another piece of furniture, or the room's main door.

The "15cm" Safety Standard

As with all our high sleepers, safety is paramount. To ensure the guardrails provide maximum protection, the top bunk mattress must be a slim profile (maximum 15cm depth). This ensures your child remains safely enclosed while they sleep.

British vs. European Sizing

Most of our wardrobe beds take a standard UK Single (90cm x 190cm), but some contemporary designs may require an EU Single (90cm x 200cm). Always double-check the "Specifications" tab before purchasing your mattress.

FAQs for High Sleeper Beds with Wardrobes

How much hanging space is actually inside the wardrobe?

Our wardrobes are designed to be as functional as standalone units. Most feature a full-width hanging rail (approx. 80-90cm) and a base shelf. This provides ample room for school blazers, dresses, and coats. For exact internal dimensions, please see the individual product diagrams.

Is the wardrobe part of the bed's structure?

In most of our designs, the wardrobe acts as a structural support for the bed frame, which adds incredible stability and reduces "wobble." Because of this, the wardrobe is usually fixed in one position, though many models allow you to choose which end it sits on during the initial assembly.

Will the wardrobe be dark inside?

Because the wardrobe sits under the bed frame, it can be shaded. We recommend adding a simple battery-powered LED "push light" or a motion-sensor strip inside the wardrobe to help your child find their clothes on dark winter mornings.

How do I stop the bed from wobbling when opening the doors?

Because wardrobe doors involve a "pulling" motion, we strictly recommend using the wall-fixings included with your Cosybunks bed. Anchoring the frame to a solid wall ensures the bed remains perfectly still, even if the wardrobe doors are opened and closed frequently.

How long will the wardrobe hinges last?

We use high-quality, durable hardware designed for the heavy-handed nature of kids and teens. To ensure they last for years, we recommend checking the hinge screws every six months and ensuring children do not hang on the doors.

Why is it warmer on the top bunk than inside the wardrobe?

Heat naturally rises toward the ceiling. While the wardrobe area stays cool (great for clothes!), the sleeping area can be warmer. We suggest a breathable mattress and a low-tog duvet to keep your sleeper comfortable throughout the night.

Will the wardrobe stay stable when I pull the doors open? Yes. Unlike standalone wardrobes that can tip, our integrated units are built into the bed's heavy-duty frame. However, for maximum security, we recommend using our wall-anchor kits to ensure the bed remains motionless even during daily use.

Is there enough hanging height for long clothes? Most of our wardrobes are designed for standard school uniforms and coats. Check the internal height specifications on each product page to ensure longer garments have enough clearance.
